Get started with MerchantOps by creating your account and setting up your organization. The process takes just a few minutes.

A step-by-step guide to creating your MerchantOps account.

Creating Your Account

MerchantOps uses magic link authenticationfor secure, passwordless login. Here's how to get started:

  1. Visit the signup page
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Click "Sign Up" to receive a magic link
  4. Check your inbox for the authentication email
  5. Click the link in the email to verify and access your account

Tip: Magic links expire after 15 minutes. If your link has expired, simply request a new one from the login page.

Unlike traditional password-based authentication, magic links provide several advantages:

  • No passwords to remember: Just use your email
  • Secure by default: Links are single-use and time-limited
  • Phishing resistant: No credentials to steal
  • Easy team management: Add members by email without password setup

Setting Up Your Organization

After your first login, you'll be guided through creating your organization. This is where all your product data, team members, and settings will live.

Create New Organization

After verifying your email, you'll be prompted to create a new organization. Click the "Create Organization" button to get started.

Organization Details

You'll then be asked to provide:

  • Organization Name: Your company or team name
  • Industry: Select your primary industry (optional)
  • Company Size: Helps us tailor your experience

Invite Team Members

As part of the setup process, you can invite team members to join your organization right away. Enter the email addresses of colleagues you'd like to collaborate with, and they'll receive an invitation to join.

This step is optional—you can skip it and invite team members later from the Settings menu.

Initial Onboarding

Once your organization is created, you'll go through a brief onboarding flow that helps you:

  1. Set up your first product type:Define the categories of products you'll be managing
  2. Configure key attributes: Choose which product attributes matter most to your business
  3. Import your first products: Upload a sample file to see MerchantOps in action

Note: You can skip the onboarding and set these up later. However, completing the onboarding helps you get value from MerchantOps faster.

Troubleshooting

Not receiving the magic link email?

  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Verify you entered the correct email address
  • Add [email protected] to your contacts
  • Wait a few minutes and try requesting a new link

Link expired?

Magic links are valid for 15 minutes. If your link has expired, go back to the login page and request a new one. The old link will be invalidated.
