Managing Catalog Products

A complete guide to product management in MerchantOps.

Overview

The Catalog Products section is where you manage your verified, enriched products. Unlike Lakehouse Products (which are staged for review), catalog products are:

  • Ready for enrichment or already enriched
  • Assigned to a Product Type
  • Available for export to external platforms
  • Tracked with version history

Viewing Products

To access your product catalog:

  1. Navigate to Catalog → Products in the sidebar
  2. Browse the product list
  3. Use filters to narrow your view

Product Enrichment

AI enrichment enhances products with descriptions, attributes, and AI-optimized content. See Enrichment concepts for details on how it works.

Enriching a Single Product

  1. Open the product detail page
  2. Click "Enrich"
  3. Confirm to start enrichment
  4. Wait for processing to complete

Enrichment Score

After enrichment, products receive a score (0-100) indicating data quality:

  • 90-100: Excellent - comprehensive data found
  • 70-89: Good - most attributes populated
  • 50-69: Fair - some data found, may need review
  • 0-49: Poor - limited data, consider manual entry

Tip:Low scores often indicate the product URL is incorrect or the brand website doesn't have detailed specifications. Try adding a better source URL.

Data Quality

  • Review enrichment scores: Products with low scores may need manual attention
  • Verify AI content: Spot-check enriched descriptions for accuracy
  • Complete required attributes: Ensure all required fields are populated

Workflow

  • Use filters effectively: Create filter presets for common workflows
  • Batch when possible: Use batch operations for efficiency
  • Export regularly: Keep backups of your catalog data
