Lakehouse Products

View, manage, and promote extracted products from the Lakehouse staging area to your main Catalog.

Overview

Lakehouse Products are products that have been extracted from uploaded documents but haven't yet been promoted to your main Catalog. This staging area allows you to:

• Review extracted data for accuracy
• Edit product information before promotion
• Filter and sort products by various criteria
• Bulk select and promote products
• Delete products that shouldn't be imported

Viewing Lakehouse Products

To view products in the Lakehouse:

1. Navigate to Lakehouse → Products in the sidebar
2. Browse the list of extracted products
3. Use filters to narrow down the view

List View Columns

The products list shows key information:

Filtering Options

Filter products by:

• Source Document: See products from a specific upload
• Technology/Brand: Filter by associated brand
• Status: Ready, needs review, has errors
• Date Range: When products were extracted
• Search: Full-text search across product fields

Product Detail View

Click on any product to see its full details:

Detail Sections

• Basic Information: Name, SKU, brand, description
• Images: Product images extracted or linked
• Attributes: All extracted attribute values
• Source Info: Origin document and extraction details
• Issues: Any validation warnings or errors

Editing Products

You can edit product information before promotion:

1. Click "Edit" on the product detail page
2. Modify any fields as needed
3. Click "Save Changes"

Edits are only applied to the lakehouse version. Once promoted, further edits happen in the Catalog.

Promoting to Catalog

Once you've verified a product is ready, promote it to your main Catalog:

Product Promotion

1. Open the main product lakehouse page
2. Check the box next to the product you wish to promote and click the button"Promote to Products" button
3. Enter the Product Key and select the target Product Type
4. Optionally enable Enrich products after promotion
5. Optinal enable Scrape brand website during enrichment
6. Confirm the promotion

Bulk Promotion

To promote multiple products at once:

1. Use checkboxes to select products in the list
2. Click the "Promote Selected" button in the toolbar
3. Configure promotion options
4. Confirm the batch promotion

Batch Operations

Select multiple products using checkboxes to perform batch operations:

Available Actions

• Promote Selected: Move selected products to Catalog
• Delete Selected: Remove products from Lakehouse
• Assign Technology: Link products to a brand source
• Set Product Type: Pre-assign a product type

Select All

Use "Select All" to select all products matching your current filters. This is useful for bulk promoting an entire document's products.

Deleting Lakehouse Products

Products that shouldn't be imported can be deleted from the Lakehouse:

1. Select the product(s) to delete
2. Click "Delete" or use the batch delete action
3. Confirm the deletion

Products may have issues that need attention:

Common Issues

Products with issues show a warning indicator and cannot be promoted until resolved.

Best Practices

Review Workflow

• Review by document: Filter by source document to review all products from one upload together
• Check flagged items: Prioritize products with issues
• Spot check data: Verify a sample of products against the source document

Promotion Strategy

• Promote in batches: Group products by product type or brand when promoting
• Enable auto-enrich: Start enrichment immediately for faster results
• Clean as you go: Delete obviously incorrect products rather than promoting and fixing later
